The Lantern Library Book Club is a community for lovers of magic, myth, romance, and epic adventure. We gather bimonthly in Perth, Western Australia, to discuss fantasy novels and connect over shared stories.

You can become a member by completing the registration form on our website.

We offer:

• One-Off Ticket: $50, grants access to a single gathering with all the perks.

• Our Annual Membership is $260 and includes six bimonthly book club gatherings, custom discussion booklets, themed party bags, and early access to events and retreats.

If you join after the May renewal for example July or later, we offer a pro-rata membership, so you only pay for the chapters remaining in the current cycle.

We host in-person gatherings every two months, each centered around a selected fantasy novel. These events are held at cosy venues across Perth.

Each meeting features:

• Opportunities to connect and make new friends

• A themed party bag inspired by the current book

• A designed discussion booklet; and

• Engaging conversations with fellow fantasy enthusiasts.

Of course! Our One-Off Ticket is $50 and gives you the full Lantern Library experience; including a party bag, custom discussion booklet, and a place at one of our bimonthly gatherings.

If you love it (and we think you will), you’ll receive 10% off when you upgrade to a membership.

If you can’t attend, you can collect your party bag and discussion booklet in person or arrange for postage at your own cost.

We focus on fantasy novels that spark imagination and stir the soul from high stakes romantasy and magical adventures to whimsical fairy tales and dark academia. Each title is chosen with our readers in mind.

Our members help shape our reading list by submitting their To Be Read (TBR) recommendations and connecting with us through our Instagram community and members only chat. We love hearing what you’re obsessed with and we often feature trending titles you’re all talking about.

We’re working on it — and our members will be the first to know! From special events to retreats and exclusive experiences, we’re dreaming up ways to deepen our connection to the stories we love and the community we’re building. Stay tuned!

Yes, members gain access to our private Facebook group, where we share insights, updates, and continue our discussions between gatherings. We use this as a tool to poll books and update event information. We prefer to connect in person, so although this exists it is not our main focus.
